May is a very special month for my wife, Rina, because not only is it her birth month, but it’s Mother’s Day as well. She takes her role as a mother incredibly seriously, and I can safely say that she is the best mother I could have asked for my daughter to have. Given all that she does for me and our daughter, I thought of perhaps preparing something nice for her for dinner.
Since I usually spring for dinner at a restaurant, I thought it would be more meaningful if I prepared something for her myself! I asked her sister for some tips of the simple dishes that Rina loves, and she suggested one of her favorite fish dishes, Steamed Tilapia in Oyster Sauce. Given that I had just come from the grocery and had some of the necessary Lee Kum Kee ingredients in my pantry, I thought to myself, “Challenge Accepted”!
I was quite surprised to discover that Denny's Philippines has Filipino dishes on their menu! Rina couldn't resist ordering their Bangus. I still ordered the Roasted Beef Skillet, but I promise I'll come back to try the other items on the Pinoy Menu!!
I SHALL RETURN, DENNY'S!!

Our friends from Mango Tree Philippines invited us to their newly renovated branch in BGC to try their new additions to their menu! Despite the spiciness and the presence of crab in their dishes (which i normally dont eat), I found this to be rather superb! Make sure to try the grilled pork belly and Stir Fried Crab in Curry Sauce! MANGO TREE PHILIPPINES C3, Bonifacio High Street Central, 7th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City
Starting February 18, Ippudo Philippines will start offering a healthier option in their menu.. The Mushroom Ramen! This is the first time that Ippudo will be using a non-pork broth, using a mushroom broth instead.
The Tofu Slices, however are braised in a pork marinade, so you still get a punch of savoriness!
I dropped by the newest branch of Ippudo, Located at Greenbelt in Makati, to give this a try!
Pizza Hut sent me a couple of pizzas for Valentine's Day, so I could try their new Bacon Stuffed Cheesy Crust Pizza! I tried the Margherita Pizza will their new stuffed crust, and it was quite delicious!
