Texas Roadhouse is one of the most popular Steakhouses in the World, and one of the keys to their high quality steaks, is in the precision of how they cut their meat. I was fortunate enough to be invited to a demonstration at Texas Roadhouse, where the Philippines Steak Cutting Champion Joel Herher, showed us his skills that made him the country's representative in the first Regional Meat Cutter Challenge in Taipei, Taiwan. MENYA KOKORO FINALLY IN MANILA

Expect the Mazesoba craze to take the Philippines by storm, as international Japanese restaurant chain, Menya Kokoro has opened it's first branch in the Philippines, bringing with it its award winning concoctions, created by Chef Takuma Ishikawa. Menya Kokoro opened it's first branch at Uptown Place Mall in Bonifacio Global City, and we're looking forward to more branches popping up all over Metro Manila soon.

Six Doors BBQ Buffet has opened in Uptown Mall in Bonifacio Global City, bringing a whole new dining experience to food loving pinoys! Six Doors is the first restaurant that offers their diners an innovative 3D Mapping Dining experience, to go with its slew of dishes from around the world, that brings to life the term, "World on a plate"! It was also pretty cool because I saw fellow Vloggers TotallyRaq and Mikey Bustos there as well!

SCOTT BURGERS: THE RETURN OF THE COMEBACK

        I'm not ashamed to let my age show so I'm going to tell you all now, college life for me began in the mid-nineties. During that time, Taft wasn't really the food haven that it has become now. The decent places to eat were few and far between. Whenever my classmates and I would find an acceptable restaurant, we would be quick to share our discovery with one another. There was one particular place that I remember my friends telling me they particularly enjoyed, and it shocked the hell out of me. It was this small stall underneath the stairs of the LRT, and I remember it so vividly because it had an iconic statue of a boy with his tummy hanging out of his too small shirt sitting on a barrel as he carried a huge burger over his head right in front of it. 

     And that's how I was first introduced to Scott Burger. I'm not going to lie to you.. I didn't try it. I distinctly remember that a burger was about P25, Buy One Take One. Admittedly, that was the very same promo that my friends were raving about, but the Picky Eater in mean refused to take the risk. 

   Cut to: More than 20 years later, Scott Burger is making a comeback in a BIG WAY, bringing in a their classic brand of burger for a New Generation. This time, I knew I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try the burgers, especially when I found out that it was infused with creations by Celebrity Chef Sharwin Tee!

AN ITALIAN FEAST AT MAMMA MIA, UPTOWN PLACE MALL

           I really enjoy Italian food, so I'm always excited to try new Italian restaurants. Being hyper-acidic, I give plus points to establishments that can come up with dishes that doesn't use tomatoes. I don't know what it was about Mamma Mia, but they seemed to know my plight, so we were served some of their best sellers that didn't use tomatoes, and every thing he had were EXCELLENT! 

SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY AT MORGANFIELD'S BGC UPTOWN MALL

         When asked what my favorite cuisine is, my stomach and I always reach an impasse. We're always torn between Chinese Food or good old fashioned American food. When I say American food, I usually pertain to stuff like Barbecues, Ribs and the like. Which is why my ears always seem to tingle when I hear about a new Rib joint opening up in Manila. 

          One of those places that caught my attention was Morganfield's that opened up late last year. It was only a couple of weeks ago that I was able to make time to visit, and I must say, I kicked myself for not going sooner (Which wasn't easy to do mind you.. I have short legs)!
