              Tokyo Tokyo continues to amaze their customers with new additions to their menu, that always finds a way to hit the right notes. Given that the rainy season is upon us, their latest dish is something that Tokyo Tokyo fans will undoubtedly be seeking out, as they try to find comfort during the #RamenWeather days... The new Beef and Tomato Ramen!

        Hot off the success of their successful Sriracha Donburi, Tokyo Tokyo turns the heat up once again, this time in the form of their all new Sriracha Beef Ramen!

Just like most of us, I am constantly on the look out for meals that boast an insane portion size, but at an affordable price, and incredible taste. Tokyo Tokyo recently unveiled a new addition to their menu that I felt was everything I was looking for in a satisfying meal.

Big Portion? Check.

Once again, the creative minds of Tokyo Tokyo got their gears running to create another treat for big eaters like me that are looking for a great deal on meals with big servings.. Behold, Tokyo Tokyo’s Chicken-Nomiyaki!

Tokyo Tokyo is once again leading the East meets West movement , as the country’s number one Japanese Fast Food chain unveiled to it’s loyal customers its Wagyu Burger Revolution!

 In case you weren’t aware, I am a huge fan of Burgers. I’m always on the look out for a great burger, and when I heard that Tokyo Tokyo was embarking on a Wagyu Burger campaign, I was absolutely ecstatic. Tokyo Tokyo’s kitchen has proven time and time again to be very innovative without losing the sense of the classic dishes, and that’s exactly what it did with their new line of Burgers!

Through the years, Tokyo Tokyo has taken serious steps to set itself apart from its fast food contemporaries, by constantly evolving its menu to include classic Japanese dishes, as well as favorites from the orient wiht innovative, modern twists.

     I’ve enjoyed their Beef Festivals, Their Ramen offerings, and their Karaage Entrees, but I couldn’t help but be excited at the thought of Tokyo Tokyo creating a new Pork Ribs dish, for us meat lovers… The Umami Pork Ribs!     

TOKYO TOKYO'S NEW MAKIRRITO

        The Country’s number one Japanese Fast Food Chain has done it again, coming up with new dishes that caters to your needs! If you’re a fan of Tokyo Tokyo, I’m sure you’ve tried some of their classics, such as their Beef Misono, Shrimp Tempura, and Chicken Teriyaki. Recently, they have even expanded their menu to include Ramen and Donburi bowls. Admittedly, these are meals that are best enjoyed in a sit down environment, so you can fully appreciate the elements of the Bento Meals or whatever it was that you ordered.

        But what happens during situations when you’re on the go, and don’t have the luxury of time on your hands to stop and eat? With the way the rat race works nowadays, that’s not exactly out of the realm of possibility from happening. What if you need something as handy as - say, a Burrito, but as filling as a rice meal?

     Tokyo Tokyo has got you covered, with the newest addition to their menu.. The Makirrito!

            Tokyo Tokyo has taken two iconic dishes of two popular cuisines, and fused them harmoniously into an original concept that can be enjoyed even when on the move! The concept of a Japanese “Maki”, meaning choice Japanese ingredients wrapped in sushi rice then rolled into Nori, is amped up and given the Mexican Burrito treatment. The result? A chunky, meat and filled seaweed wrap, that is not only big on flavor, but is incredibly satisfying as well, and can easily be enjoyed in transit!

           The Makirrito comes in two variants, and the first one I tried was the California Tempura Makirrito. Plump Crabsticks are dipped in a Tokyo Tokyo’s Signature Tempura Batter, and deep fried to a gorgeous crisp. The Sticks are sliced, then rolled into sushi rice with chopped carrots, Shredded Cabbage, and mango slices, that give the roll an added freshness. The ingredients are doused in a Japanese sauce that plays off the creaminess of the Japanese mayonnaise, then tightly wrapped in Nori. 

         I’m a sucker for Tokyo Tokyo’s Chicken Karaage, so I don’t think anyone would be surprised if I said that I was drawn more to the Samurai Karaage Makirrito. I hope my form made Himura Kenshin proud!

     The Samurai Makirrito is made with Crunchy pieces of juicy Chicken Karaage, rolled into the Seaweed Wrap, together with the medley of vegetables, and drizzled with the Japanese Sauce and Mayonnaise. The added savoriness of the chicken made this more filling and enjoyable for me, although Rina liked the California more. 

    It’s easy to eat, and if you like Nori, you’ll find it incredibly tasty and filling.. And at P100, The Makirrito is unbelievably affordable! Tokyo Tokyo once again proves that their customer needs always comes first!

This is perfect for people like me who sometimes gets cravings for Japanese inspired dishes that are very satisfying, but at prices that are friendly to your wallet. Tokyo Tokyo continues that tradition, with the newest member of their Premium Donburi line.. The Teriyaki Meatballs Donburi!

   The country’s number one Japanese Fast Food has amped up their menu in time for the rainy days, by adding a new Ramen dish that is bursting with that Beefy flavor we love.. The New Beef Pepper Ramen!   

Tokyo Tokyo’s Sakura Sumo Meal in Full Bloom!

　　Probably one of the most magical looking places on Earth during the months of late March to mid-April is Tokyo, when the whole place is blooming in pink because of the Cherry Blossoms during Sakura Season. Sakura means Cherry Blossom. I’ve only seen it in photos on the internet and I’m sure those photos don’t do them justice when you see them in real life. It just looks so spectacular! Sakura festival is their way of welcoming the spring. And every season they make the most out of the beautiful surroundings by having a scrumptious picnic under the Cherry Blossoms with their family and friends, with meals usually consisting of grilled or fried meat, fish and veggies, and colorful desserts.

　　We may not be there in Japan physically to experience this beautiful season right now, but that doesn’t mean we cannot celebrate. So, Tokyo Tokyo decided to bring the Sakura Festival to us!

Tokyo Tokyo’s Seafood Festival

        As a Pickiest Eater, my plate is usually filled with either pork, beef, or chicken (and maybe after that, some more pork hehe), and occasionally some noodle dish. Whenever I hear “Seafood”, the first thing that comes to my mind is the old joke, “When I see food, I eat it!”. Admittedly, the scope of my seafood choices are limited to fish and the occasional Shrimp Tempura. But that’s just me. My wife on the other hand, get cravings for seafood every now and then, With Shrimp and salmon usually on the top of her list. I was stoked to find out that Tokyo Tokyo added more Seafood dishes to their menu, because that meant delicious seafood at affordable prices! Tokyo Tokyo always finds exciting new ways to innovate their menu, constantly keeping the menu fresh for their beloved customers.

Recently I got to try the new Tokyo Tokyo menu, and I was in for a pleasant surprise because the quality far beyond something you would expect from a fast food restaurant!

        Fresh off my Prawn Tempura Hangover from International Tempura day, I set my sights on some of the newer items of Tokyo Tokyo’s menu, particularly their Donburi Meals! I couldn’t help but notice that there are two new dishes on Tokyo Tokyo’s that are not only affordable, but will also satisfy the cravings of the most ravenous carnivore and,  for those that are looking for lighter fare, without sacrificing on taste!
