MANDARIN SKY OPENS IN MARKET! MARKET!

A QC Legend has now opened in Taguig! 

The popular Chinese restaurant, "Mandarin Sky" has opened a new branch in Market! Market! Unlike the main branch in Quezon city, the Market Market branch doesn't feature the fresh seafood in tanks, hence the "Express" monicker.. however the menu is pretty much the same lineup of dishes that made them famous!

DIAMOND HOTEL'S CHINESE LAURIAT FEAST!

Corniche at Diamond Hotel, not only offers a scrumptious buffet, but they now also have a multi course Chinese Lauriat Feast, prepared by their Chinese Sous Chef, Chef Yang Yong! The selection was incredible, with a wide array of seafood and meat dishes served, meticulously prepared the Chinese way. 

From start to finish, every thing we was admittedly rather excellent!

THE CORNER MARKET PODIUM: CHAR EXPRESS

The sparkling new renovation of Podium Mall opened up opportunities for more shops and restaurants to settle into the bustling Ortigas center. Recently, a sprawling Food Hall opened, named, "The Corner Market". Spanning roughly around 1,200 square meters, The Corner Market is set to house 17 food establishments in its massive halls.  

      Though not all 17 are operational yet, your friendly neighborhood Pickiest Eater made the ultimate sacrifice for his beloved readers, to try the food stalls that have opened their doors at the Corner Market.. Where good food is just around the corner!

          Being a lover Chinese food, I was incredibly excited to try Char Express at The Corner Market at Podium Mall. Char boasts of a slew of Roasted Meats, done the oriental way, at very affordable prices! 

SM NORTH EDSA EATS: KING CHEF DIMSUM KITCHEN

            One of the local restaurant chains that I enjoy watching grow is King Chef. Easily one of my favorite Chinese Restaurants, I've visited King Chef Dimsum Kitchen at Banawe and King Chef Seafood Restaurant at Lucky China Town, and both visits left me awestruck. I've tried visiting the branch at SM North Edsa before, however the line was too long and my tummy was grumbling a bit too loudly, it was starting to scare the children in the mall, so I had to eat somewhere else instead. 

         Thankfully I was able to schedule a visit to King Chef with my blogger buddies! We made sure to be there as soon as they opened just to make sure we get great seats!

CELEBRATING THE MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL AT CRYSTAL DRAGON, CROWN TOWERS MANILA

             I've never been much of a gambler, but City of Dreams Manila never ceases to amaze me whenever I drop by. Whether it was to dine at Hyatt or take the family to Dream Play, the whole spectacle of the complex always lives up to its name with every visit. I've had the pleasure of dining at The Cafe a few times, but I had yet to even set foot in the Crown Towers. let alone try any of their restaurants.

         Fortunately, when Crystal Dragon, Crown Tower's premium Cantonese restaurant, launched their Mid-Autumn Festival Menu, Little old me managed to score an invitation, making my first trip to Crown Towers a memorable one. 

CHINA BLUE FOR YOU

         Have you been to Conrad Hotel Manila? Let me tell you, if you haven't been there yet, it's a sight you must definitely behold. Whether it's to use the restroom  or check our the arcade of restaurants they have inside, the place is an architectural wonder that will make you feel proud that such a mighty structure was built in our country by our fellowmen. 

     A Outstanding World Class Hotel, however, deserves a Outstanding World Class Restaurant in it, and China Blue by Jeremy Leung fits that bill to a Tee.  

NO GOODBYES AT SUMMER PALACE

          I was asked during my lunch at Summer Palace at Edsa Shangri-la what my favorite cuisine was, and without batting an eyelash I promptly replied, "I can't decide between Chinese or American.". However, as the meal progressed, and my tummy getting filled by the second, yet my mind refusing to hit the brakes, it became clearer and clearer what the true answer was. 

       Chinese Food is my favorite cuisine, and Summer Palace has one of the best Chinese Cuisine in the metro. 

THE NINTH BITE: TWO EPIC CULINARY TRADITIONS AT THE CAFE, HYATT, CITY OF DREAMS

This was the first time for me to visit Hyatt, City of Dreams, Manila, and what  a way to start what I expect to be a wonderful relationship with the steemed, hotel, than by trying the food of their spectacular flagship restaurant, The Cafe, where we were introduced to not ONE, But TWO Epic culinary traditions! 

  Two exciting food festivals are happening at The Cafe, and I was lucky enough to be invited to a sneak preview of their upcoming Cantonese and Indian spreads!

SUPER BOWL OF CHINA: NEW LOOK & NEW DISHES!

        I remember when Super Bowl of China of China first opened in Manila, particularly the SM Megamall Branch. The lines were absolutely ridiculous, you'd think they were standing in line for One Direction concert tickets. Super Bowl managed to find a great mix of delicious Chinese Food, which has always been a hit with Pinoys, at an affordable price. It was their Honey Pork Spareribs (which is sadly no longer on the menu) and their signature Lemon Chicken that made me go back for more.

   

      Years later, Super Bowl Of China is still going strong, with the new Mega Mall location having undergone a little bit of a face lift, and with some new dishes to an already mouthwatering classic Chinese Menu!

MODERN SHANGHAI: A GRAND DINE-ASTY!

   Modern Shanghai kicks off the new year by adding some new, delectable items to their already mouthwatering menu! And what better way for me, Rina and my blogger friends to welcome 2015 (and my birthday) than trying Modern Shanghai's "Grand Dine-asty" dishes out for ourselves!
