Though Goodah is an iconic Pinoy restaurant, I feel like it's often overlooked. Now that you can order their food for delivery via Food Panda or Grab Food, I thought this was a great time to revisit their menu, and I was totally blown away with their delicious Filipino Food, that was affordable as well! Chef JP whipped up more of his trademark modern takes on Pinoy Classic, while never failing to give it a touch of Negrenese culture! The result are delightful twists to classic favorites, that you undoubtedly wouldn't want to miss!

PHILIPPINE CULINARY HERITAGE FOOD FESTIVAL AT DIAMOND HOTEL

          Diamond Hotel Philippines is always looking for ways to dazzle their guests, especially through its food. This June, they launched a special buffet spread at their flagship restaurant Corniche, that puts the wonder of Filipino Cuisine front and center, through its "Philippine Culinary Heritage Food Festival."

2 LAZCANO PLACE: KUSINA JUAN REPLUBLIKA

          I mentioned this in my earlier blog posts, but when I moved back to Manila from Cebu right after high school, I first lived with my grandfather at the Scout Area of Quezon City. Dining at the Scout Area didn't have the gems that are there today. In fact, if we wanted a decent meal, we would have to drive over to the bustling Tomas Morato Ave, where legendary restaurants, such as Mario's, Anabels' and the like still stand today. 

          But to think of getting a delicious meal just walking distance from my grandfather's place was unheard of.  Sadly, more than 20 years after moving out of that QC neighborhood, it has become quite a food haven. And as you may have it, I found an amazing hub just down the street for my Grandfather's house, called 2 Lazcano Place, which housed a charming little Filipino restaurant that I thoroughly enjoyed... Kusina Juan Republika. 

SEAFOOD CHOICES AT DENNIS THE GRILL BOY: THE SPARK PLACE CUBAO!

             With the Lenten season underway, I've been looking for more seafood options that I indulge on regardless if it's a Friday or not! I thought I'd share with you Three of my favorite Seafood dishes from my favorite Fast Casual Pinoy Restaurant, Dennis The Grill Boy!

CHEF TATUNG'S LATEST: ALAB IT SO MUCH!

                     After blowing my mind to smithereens with his Filipino Dishes at his restaurant, "Chef Tatung", Celebrity Chef Myke "Tatung" Sarthou returns to the area where his legend first began.. Quezon City. And just like the first time, his name baby, "Alab", is setting Philippine cuisine on fire with its inventive takes on home grown Pinoy food! 

NEIL'S KITCHEN: A NEW LEVEL OF FILIPINO FOOD!

        If I had a Match.com account (I don't, Rina, I swear!), my profile would probably say, "Richie enjoys reading adventure novels, writing poetry and long walks to the fridge.".  Come and get some, ladies.

      It's always fun to eat at a place that doesn't take itself too seriously, which is the relaxed vibe that you feel when you dine at Neil's Kitchen, a new restaurant that takes Filipino dishes to a whole new level! 

COME TOGETHER: SALO AT THE FORT STRIP!

          A couple of years ago, the sister company of the company I was then working for opened a new office at The Fort Strip. The office itself was quite stunning, and my friends from there were excited for the move. However, the common problem they all had was where to eat. 

      Don't get me wrong.. The Fort Strip has numerous choices to dine at, and most of them offer some very delicious fare. Early Bird Breakfast Club is one suggestion that comes to mind. Burger Avenue is another. Racks is also another good choice. I joked to my boss that I would like to apply for a transfer, with the restaurants nearby as the sole basis. But the problem is, as tasty as the choices undoubtedly are, you can imagine that eating in restaurants around The Fort Strip would eventually take its toll on one's wallet.

   Thankfully, earlier this year, a new restaurant opened that not offers not only comforting Filipino classics at great prices. I was excited to check out what my friends had been raving about when I visited Salo!

   

THE FLAVORS OF LASA BISTRO

      Going to the South is always fun (Once you get past the traffic, that is), and I'm really intrigued by the selection of restaurants that have sprouted around the area. The restaurant scene has got me so interested, ] I plan to set a few days to go on a Food Trip around Alabang (I'm compiling a list as we speak) later in the year. 

      During our Staycation at Crimson Hotel, my blogger buddy, Richard aka Tales From The Tummy, invited us to try Lasa, the new restaurant of Chef CK Kalaw of X046 fame, which had just recently opened at Commerce Center. I trust Richard's taste in food explicitly, and he had nothing but good words for X046, so I knew we were in for a treat!
