Wagyu Studio has opened in BGC, and has shaken the steak world to its very core. Everything I tried.. From the Gyudon, to the Burger steak and the the Sukiyaki was mind blowingly delicious!!
Father's day this year was made even more special for me, as my family and I visited Mimi & Bros at Bonifacio Global City, for their Steak Out Sunday event they celebrated in cooperation with Steak.PH! Not only did we feast on a mouth-watering Ribeye, we also enjoyed some of the items on Mimi & Bros Menu! Thank you Chef Ed Bugia for having us!
When Independence Day rolls in here in the Philippines, the foodie world is always abuzz in anticipation of an event that never fails to captivate our taste buds.. I'm talking about F1 Hotel Manila's LuzViMinda Festival! With the theme of the 2018 incarnation "Timeless Flavors", we knew we were in for a treat, as this year's set of chefs pushed the envelope when it came to culinary innovation of beloved Filipino dishes!
With the Yuletide Celebration fast approaching, restaurants have been preparing holiday meals to help pep up their menu. One restaurant whose menu doesn't need any pepping up, is Mango Tree. However, even with its extensive roster of classic Thai dishes on its menu, I was surprised to see that they beefed it up anyway in honor of Christmas!
The KTG members along with some other blogger friends were invited to Mango Tree at Bonifacio High Street, to try their 2017 Holiday Selections!
I've always been more of a "No Frills" kind of guy when it comes to food. I don't need fancy plating or overly expensive ingredients to make me happy. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy some of the finer things every now and then, but it's honestly more on the simple comfort food that gets my tummy going.
What I enjoyed about Grind Bistro, was how it took classic pub favorites, given dynamic twists, without going all frou frou. It was classic, comfort food, executed with finesse and precision.
Exactly the kind of restaurant that I would love going back to again and again.
When I was in the United States last year, my cousins told me that Peruvian cuisine was all the rage at the moment. I was rather taken aback because I had heard nothing about the food of Peru. Truthfully, I was half expecting it to be burgers made with Llama meat or something. Nonetheless, given how the Philippines usually refuses to be left behind when it comes to food trends, I was confident that someone would sooner or later bring a Peruvian restaurant to the country.
It turns out I was right, the Peruvian food movement in the Philippines has begun, and I was ultra-excited to find out that it was Celebrity Chef Him Uy de Baron who would be at the forefront of one of the first Peruvian restaurants in the country, Cocina Peruvia.
