BEHOLD: ZARKS NEW SIGNATURE BURGER STEAKS!

     Zark's Burgers is known for their absolutely insane burger creations that have taken the country by storm. From a humble 20 square meter space in a ratty old mall, Zark's is now looking to end 2018 with roughly around 50 branches.. All that in less than 10 years! 

     Now, they've undergone a rebranding, coming up with a sleeker, more modern design to their interiors and look, but their delicious food at affordable prices still remain the same. In fact, they recently expanded their menu to come up with new Signature Burger Steak Rice meals that will undoubtedly get the Pinoys appetite rumbling!

THE SECOND BITE: THE RISE OF ZARK'S BURGERS

           For the second episode of the Pickiest Eater Bites, I revisit a favorite of many of my readers.. Zark's Burgers! Since I visited their first branch in 2011, Zark's Burgers has exploded into a Powerhouse Burger chain that can give the big name burger joints a run for their money!

     From a small hole in the wall in Taft Avenue, Zark's Burgers now plans to have more than 20 outlets around the country by the end of 2016! 

    Here's a quick round up of some of the most insane burgers on their menu, as well as a chance to finally meet the man behind the madness.. Zark himself!

   And by the way, yes, that is a burger wrapped in bacon and deep fried to perfection that i'm holding in the photo above.

ZARK'S BURGERS JAWBREAKER DAY!

       Ever since I found their fan page on facebook, I've been a huge fan of Zark's Burgers. In a world where every restaurant tries to become more "organic" and low-fat, etc.. Zark's Burgers takes pride in serving the greasiest burgers in the country.. and makes no apologies for it. These are perhaps the most sinful, decadent menu I have ever seen in my entire life.. and trust me.. I've studied a lot of menus for burger restaurants in my time. 

     Since they're located at Taft Avenue right in front of De La Salle University, Zark's Burgers decided to allocate a day at the start of every semester, which was meant to be their way of welcoming the new students to college life, by slashing the cost of one of their best selling burgers, The Jawbreaker, from P250 to P150. 

    Seven semesters later, "Jawbreaker Day" has become much more than that. It has become a La Sallite's rite of passage. A bonding event between friends and family. 


      The lines were insane, causing traffic jams and even catching the attention of ABS-CBN. Unfortunately because of that, I had never attended any of the Jawbreaker Days. 


       Then I got a text from the Man himself, Zark, asking if I was interested in witnessing the event for myself. 


      You can imagine what my reaction was. 

PRAY FOR MERCY AT ZARKS BURGERS!

              You are looking at the largest Cheeseburger that I have ever eaten in my entire life. A cheeseburger so ridiculously huge, finishing one in a single sitting could very hazardous to my health, and that's why it is aptly named, "The Tombstone". 

             But you know me.. ever the daredevil.. You can't get me to eat a Cesar salad or anything with brown rice, but a towering, more-calories-than-a-buffet, greasy burger is something that shall never, EVER be denied.
