REYAL: THE BEST KEPT LECHON MANOK SECRET

You know what's strange? I've never heard of Reyal Lechon Manok before. And honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if you told me that you hadn't either. But i'm telling you this, if you haven't heard of it, you're missing a whole lot, because this is probably one of THE BEST Lechon Manoks you'll find out there now.

GRAND HYATT MANILA: LUXURY REDEFINED

The Philippines may be a third world country and not without its many flaws, however I can say that I am rather proud with how many luxury hotel chains have the confidence to invest in us. I do believe though that it's the innate hospitality that is ingrained into us Filipinos that makes us such gracious hosts, which gives these Hotel Industry Titans faith in us.

Already dazzling the country with it's "City of Dreams" property, the Hyatt name continues to grow in the Philippines. Opening at the heart of Bonifacio Global City just a few months ago was the Grand Hyatt Manila, and it is redefining luxury hotels as we know it.

SORSOGON'S BEST: MANGO GRILL'S BIG CHEESE CASSAVA CAKE

I have a confession to make. When it comes to desserts, I'm not a fan of Pinoy offerings. Outside of Turon and Leche Flan (which is technically Spanish), I find myself taking a pass if native treats, such as Bibingka and Puto are the choices.

Don't get me wrong, I think they're delicious enough to eat, but it's easier to resist than more indulgent desserts, such as chocolate cakes and cream pastries.

   Well, apparently I was wrong.

I recently tried a Cassava Cake that was just so irresistible, I swear I could have finished one whole by myself in one sitting.

LAST CALL FOR SUPER BOWL OF CHINA'S UNLI YANG CHOW 7!

Once again, the Chinese food bug bit me badly, leaving me craving for some of my favorite dishes, such as Sweet and Sour Pork, and Lemon Chicken. One of my go-to places for my Chinese food fix, is the ever dependable Super Bowl of China. Boy, was I in luck because not only was I in for a delicious meal of some of my favorite Chinese entrees, but I dined at Super Bowl of China at just the right time... In time for their Unlimited Yang Chow promo!

PARADISE DYNASTY: THE LEGEND NOW IN PODIUM

I'm never ashamed to admit that I can never get enough of Chinese Food, especially dimsum dishes like Xiao Long Bao. Paradise Dynasty has become known for being one of the country's best places to get your Xiao Long Bao fix, especially since they offer a medley of flavors to choose from.

My biggest qualm with Paradise Dynasty, however, was the distance. Being a resident of Pasig, it's not easy for me to get to S Maison Mall in Pasay for my XLB cravings. Just a couple of months ago, the Food Gods once again answered my prayers, as Paradise Dynasty opened a branch a few blocks away from my office... At the newly renovated Podium Mall!

FLOSSOM KITCHEN & CAFE: A WONDERFUL DISCOVERY OF FLAVORS

There is something undeniable charming about neighborhood cafes. That homey feel and relaxing vibe is something that I look for, apart of course from incredibly delicious food. I just recently discovered an adorable little bistro that opened just a few months back, that checks all the boxes in what a neighborhood cafe should be.. Flossom Kitchen & Cafe.

FAT FOOK AT ROBINSON'S GALLERIA

Ever since I first tried Fat Fook at SM North Edsa, I've been a fan. Whenever I find myself at Quezon City, Fat Fook always comes up as a dining option. I always hoped that Fat Fook would expand to somewhere in the Ortigas or BGC area, making it more accessible to me. And as luck would have it, Fat Fook opened a branch at Robinsons Galleria, just a few blocks away from my office, with plans to open another branch at BGC very soon!
