There are times when I just look for a laid back place where I can enjoy a good burger and wings with my buddies over an exciting basketball game. I recently found a really fun place in Megamall that checks all those boxes for me.. Atlanta based Franchise, Wing Zone!
Wing Zone at SM Mega Atrium has a casual, sporty atmosphere that makes it an ideal place to kick back and watch a big game with some friends. It has a fun vibe that you know is ideal for making lots of memories with family and friends, while feasting on a wide array of flavors of wings!
APPETIZERS
You can start your meal with the Housemade Kettle Chips (P99 R/ P189 L). These beautifully deep fried hand cut potato chips can be dry rubbed in your choice of Cool Ranch or Blackened Voodoo flavoring. The Cool Ranch has that smooth tangy-ness that I love, while the Blackened Voodo has that robust, Cajun spiced vibe that will get you craving.
The Mozzarella Sticks (P225 R / P420 L) are quite addicting! the exterior was nice and cruchy, with the melted cheese inside smooth to the bite.
The Flavor Rubbed Wedges (P125 Regular/P220 Large) were also dynamite. Nice and crisp edges, while the potato itself was complimented by the Cool Ranch Rub that it was coated in.. Perfect for "Pulutan"!
WHATS YOUR FLAVOR?
The awesomeness of Wingzone can be traced to the diversity in its sauces. Yes, they have great Wings, Burgers and Starters, but the flexibility of choosing the right sauce that matches your flavor palate is what puts Wingzone on a whole new level from it's competition. Roughly around Thirteen sauces broken down in to Four categories: Sweet with No Heat, Sweet & Spicy, Savory Flavors, and Traditional Buffalo Flavors.
Don't know what flavor to try? Take a risk and spin the flavor roulette and let fate decide! Be careful, because some are a whole lot spicier than others!
Personally, I love all the Sweet with No Heat Flavors, with the Liquid Gold my personal favorite.
Depending on your palate, the sauces pair well with the Signature Boneless Bites. The juicy Chicken Breast cutlets are coated in a light batter, and deep fried to a golden hue, that offers a nice crunchiness to it, while keeping the juiciness of the meat intact.
Of course, when you've got the word "Wing" in the name of your restaurant, you better make sure that you've got Chicken Wings that delivers. And with their phenomenal seasoning, golden, crisp coating, and unreal juiciness, Wingzone's wings rank up there as some of the most amazing you'll have in the metro.
When dipped into the sauce of your choice, magic happens!
BURGERS
More than just a Wings place, Wingzone also has spectacular Burgers that you can customize! Already set up with your classic fixins such as Tomatoes, Lettuce and a Toasted Brioche Bun, your other options range from one patty or a double stack, then you can add on Cheese and/or Bacon separately.
Then, just to raise the stakes, you can even ask them to slather your burger in the sauce of your choice! FYI: The Honey Q Sauce mixes incredibly with the smokey flavor of the beautifully charred Beef patty.. Just a heads up!
If you're looking for something lighter, Chicken Burgers are also available. Again, ordering begins with your choice of a Fried or Grilled Chicken Patty. Afterwards, you choose the flavor of sauce as well, then like the Beef Burger, you can opt for single or double patties, as well as an option for bacon and/or cheese.
I took my friends Kim and Dian to Wing Zone for lunch, and they were blown away with how tender the meat was, not to mention how they seemed to have a sauce for every mood and palate!
Looks like me and fellow Foodie JC had the same reaction when we saw Wing Zone's Burger!
With it's delicious food, numerous sauces to choose from and vibrant ambiance, Wing Zone will undoubtedly become your new favorite hangout!
