MONDE'S MAMON MINION MADNESS!

Monde Mamon Minion

The other day, Rina packed up her bags, placed baby Rain in a car seat and and took off… Okay fine, it’s just to go to La Union to visit relatives from out of town,, but it already feels like it’s been forever.

So when I was invited to Monde’s special screening of the new Minions movies, it made me miss them that much more. I called up my niece Cara and asked her if she wanted to come along. She thought it would be a perfect opportunity to bond with her baby brothers, Gael and Matteo, so there we found ourselves on Saturday afternoon, in Greenbelt 3, amidst the Minion madness.

Monde had pulled out all the stops for this family event, with a photo booth…

And there was even a body paint booth set up by Ayala Cinemas for the kids. The popular design? Minions of course!!!

And tons of goodies to boot!

Mothers, fathers and children with big goofy grins on their faces, as the parents reveled in not having to bring their kids to Timezone YET AGAIN and with the children more than excited for all the awesome activities to choose from.

But, of course, the main event. At 3 sharp, we were filed into one line to make our way into the theater. The theater was large and cozy, and I noticed Monde had picked a theater with restrooms already inside, something I’m sure all the parents were more than thankful for. Monde then held a special raffle for all the guests, and then it was Minions time!

My niece and nephews laughing on either side of me was a great feeling, but the event really felt like one big family movie night as kids of all ages and their parents cracked up whenever Kevin, Stuart or Bob decided to do something ridiculous. So every other second.

Satisfied and happy, the movie ended and it was time to make our way home.

However, the fun didn’t stop there. Ate Cara just kept sending pictures of the boys devouring all the Monde products they had gotten in the car.

And even when they got home!

And then the next day when they found that event organizers had left a special surprise for  them… Monde’s Mamon-It-Yourself Minion Kit.

The boys loved the opportunity to get creative with their food, as they would shout excitedly, “I’m gonna make Kevin!” or “My mamom will be Bob!”

On top of it all, it got  these two normally arguing boys to quiet down, with much gratitude from the Ate, Mom and Dad...

Turns out, Rina and Rain leaving me behind could have been much worse. I was able to spend some quality time with my niece and nephews, Cara got to really exercise her Ate role without the help of her mom and dad for the first time, and all those who attended the event not only an awesome Saturday out, but had even more good family times to look forward to when they got home. After all, from the muffins, to the cream puffs, to the many flavored mamon, we’ve got some teamwork to do.

Thank you, Monde Philippines for a great event!
