Admit it.. When someone asks where they can go for a nice out of town date, the first place that comes to your mind is Tagaytay. If it's not the first place that pops up into your head, then presumably it's the second. However, it isn't hard to see why. With the cool air, spectacular view of the lake, and the manageable distance from Metro Manila, Tagaytay is a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
I've stayed in Taal Vista Hotel quite a few times, and it is undoubtedly among the best hotels in Tagaytay. There's no denying that the place is one of the most- if not the most popular hotels in Tagaytay. Almost too popular, to the point that it's often quite crowded. With its facilities and activities, not to mention that its situated near Sky Ranch, it makes it a great place to stay with your family.
However, what if you're just a couple that is looking for a Romantic getaway? You're looking for a little solitude where you can run away from everything together, even just for a weekend.
Then my friend, I've got the place for you. Let me tell you all about Boutique Bed and Breakfast in Tagaytay,
Conveniently located along Aguinaldo Highway, in front of the new Serin Mall, The Boutique Bed and Breakfast is a charming little place in Tagaytay that admittedly may not have the size of the other hotels in the area. However what it lacks in size, it makes up for in charm, and quality of service.
The lobby feels more like a cozy living room than a Hotel common room, but that sets the tone for your "Boutique" experience. Since the entire hotel consists only of seven rooms in total, you're treated almost like a celebrity, and soon, the faces of the staff become so familiar, you'll inevitably feel right at home.
Upon our arrival, we were made to feel right at home, by means of The Boutique Bed and Breakfast's "Welcome Drink", which was a unique Mocktail, concocted via a blend of Calamansi and Basil. It was oddly refreshing, to say the least.
Just before we could head off to our room to settle in, the courteous staff took us to the room behind the counter, where we saw the display of several bath soaps, oils, and other fragrances that The Boutique has to offer.
These beauty and bath essentials are from The Boutique's "Pamper Me" Line, which allows their guests to customize their Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Lotion, and even Room Scent to their liking. Quite a unique feature!
The Boutique's Bed and Breakfast has an outdoor "patio" like space, that also serves as the Al Fresco dining area of the two restaurants that the hotel houses, Hawaiian BBQ, and Tsokaleteria (More on that in a different post soon!).
From the patio, you can see the four rooms situated at the second floor, which are designed with balconies, giving the guests a stunning view of Taal Lake.
For couples, the most romantic room you can book at The Boutique Bed and Breakfast, is the "I Love" room, which is essentially the hotel's "Presidential Suite".
Upping the sexiness factor, is the presence of a separate bathtub out by the window, giving you a glimpse of the outside world as you relax or.. do other things one or two people do in a bathtub hehe
With its clear glass panel, the quaint bathroom also makes for quite an alluring spot in the room for couples as well.
Although I would have loved to have stayed in the "I Lust" room with my beautiful wife, we had our little Baby Rain in tow, so we needed a bit of a bigger space. And though The Boutique Bed and Breakfast is an ideal hotel to check in to for couples, there are actually larger family rooms available!
The I Love Room can be separated into a bed room and "living room" through a sliding door, making it very convenient for families that bring along Yayas with them.
Yaya had a daybed for herself, but it not before Rain got comfortable in it first!
Or doing "Game of Thrones" impressions.
All the rooms are equipped with Flat Screen TVs, hooked up to a cable network. If you're a movie junkie, you'll be pleased to know that your room also has a DVD player, and The Boutique Bed and Breakfast has a DVD Library for you to choose from!
I love the little details that the room had in it, such as stash of Pinoy snacks, such as Pastillas and Shing-a-ling.
While my little girl was happy with the small fruit platter that The Boutique Bed and Breakfast provided us in the room!
The room had a cozy little bathroom, with an awesome Rain Shower head!
BREAKFAST IN BED
Another feature of The Boutique Bed And Breakfast, is their Breakfast in Bed service (also known as, "The Morning After")! Before calling it a night, you fill out your breakfast choices that you want for the next morning, as well as the time you would like your food to be served. After you hand it over to the staff, they do the rest!
Promptly at our 9am preferred time, we heard a knock on our door, and viola! Breakfast was served!
Our breakfast consisted of a bread and pastry platter, served with butter and a variety of jams
Rina ordered the AMAZING Rib Eye Tapa. The meat was seasoned impeccably, and was incredibly moist, making it a definite must try for breakfast!
And I, on the other hand, had the Longaniza Breakfast, which was absolutely delicious. The longanizas were packed with garlic infused flavor. Oh and Not to mention They were really generous with the number of pieces of Longaniza!
The Boutique also offers in-room Spa services for their guests, ranging from different types of relaxing massages and soothing facials. They rubbed cold stones on our foreheads and faces.. Rina and I found it ticklish haha
With it's personalized service and understanding of what couples look for when planning a weekend escape, The Boutique Bed and Breakfast is the ultimate great romantic getaway. What makes it even more special, is that the needs of a family are not overlooked either. and the location makes it an ideal spot when touring around Tagaytay.
From the Accomodations, the essentials, and the food, you can be rest assured that The Boutique Bed and Breakfast will go out of its way to make sure you feel right at home.
