Morton’s The Steakhouse Brings To The Philippines “The Best Steak Anywhere”!

                    The Bistro Group finishes the year strong with the opening of Morton’s The Steakhouse on November 25 at the Uptown East Gate, BGC. The launch of this steakhouse founded in Chicago in 1978 is much-awaited by food lovers with a sophisticated palate who have travelled not only to the USA but in other countries as well for a taste their famed USDA prime-aged steaks. With its launch, The Bistro Group now has 27 restaurant concepts under its portfolio. This partnership is a significant part in Bistro’s expansion plans as it looks forward to celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to a demonstration at Texas Roadhouse, where the Philippines Steak Cutting Champion Joel Herher, showed us his skills that made him the country's representative in the first Regional Meat Cutter Challenge in Taipei, Taiwan. A NEW NAME IN STEAK AT B HOTEL QC: JOHNNY'S STEAK AND GRILL

             In case ya'll didn't notice, I love me some steak. More than that though, I love me some affordable steaks, Blog posts abour restaurants with quality, affordable steaks are usually among my favorite things to share with my readers. Which is why I was ecstatic to write about Johnny's Steak and Grill, located at the ground floor of the posh B Hotel in Quezon City!

GREAT STEAKS AT CHOPS CHICAGO STEAKHOUSE, SHANGRI-LA PLAZA

          I think I may have eaten more steak this year than any other time in my life. Not that I'm complaining, as everytime I go to a different steakhouse, there's always something about the place that makes it a whole new experience. I've been to Chops Chicago Steakhouse's Greenbelt Branch a few years back, but I had yet to visit the branch nearer to me, located at the East Wing of Shangri-la Mall. 

       One fine day, my blogger buddies and I paid a visit to Chops, to find out if their food, particularly their steaks, would do the windy city proud!

       It's only August, but I think this is the year in which I've eaten the most steaks in my entire life. Not that I'm complaining, of course, but this just proves that the steak dining scene is alive and well here in Metro Manila. The newest player is opening today, August 31, at Shangri-la Hotel, The Fort, and it looks set to change the game of steak as we know it.

THE 11th Bite: A SYMPHONY OF FLAVORS AT WOLFGANG'S STEAKHOUSE

        After 4 decades of service at the famed Peter Luger's Steakhouse in New York, with a great deal of those years as Head waiter, Mr. Wolfgang Zwiener decided to branch out into his own, and create a steakhouse of his own, with improvements that he felt would elevate an already proven system of excellence.  

      Twelve years later, Wolfgang's Steakhouse has emerged into a fine dining restaurant empire. Mr. Zwiener's dream has evolved into nine branches in the US, spanning from New York to Hawaii, and now expanding to Asia, with branches in Japan and Korea! 

    After much anticipation, Wolfgang's Steakhouse finally opened at Resorts World Manila! 

HOUSE OF WAGYU'S THE GREAT STEAK CHEF VIDEO CONTEST!

       House of Wagyu is undoubtedly one of the best steak places we've tried in the country. If I could dine there everyday, I would. We've been there twice before, and this third time did not at all disappoint! Grade 8 steak, for crying out loud!

THE GREAT STEAKHOUSE: HOUSE OF WAGYU

           Like the majority of people around the world, I enjoy a good steak. But I must admit, I am not a Steak snob. I only have two simple rules when eating steak. The first being, that the said piece of meat must contain fat. The more the merrier. It just makes the meat juicer for me. I don't know the science of it, but the bottom line is, I like my steak with a lot of fat. 

        The second rule, is that my steak shouldn't be tough. A steak that lacks of fat would be forgivable, for as long as its meat is tender enough, so i'm not picking off meat bits from in between my teeth afterwards.

       So my entire life, I've gone around with those two simple rules for eating steak.. I need fat, and it needs to be tender. 

       As it turns out, everything I knew about steak was wrong.  

      So I was about to get an education in the subject of steak at where else? 

      The House of Wagyu.
