THE SAMGYUPSAL SEARCH EPISODE 1: JIN JOO KOREAN GRILL

With the boom of Korean restaurants, particularly Samgyupsal joints, I'm looking for the best one in the metro! My first stop has taken me to Jin Joo Korean Grill in Podium, with their new Promo, which offers you unlimited access to a selection of 10 different types of meats for only P499 for lunch and P549 for Dinner.

Do you love Samgyupsal too? Let me know what's you're favorite Samgyupsal restaurant so I can add it to my series!

THE CORNER MARKET PODIUM: LITTLE KAYA

The sparkling new renovation of Podium Mall opened up opportunities for more shops and restaurants to settle into the bustling Ortigas center. Recently, a sprawling Food Hall opened, named, "The Corner Market". Spanning roughly around 1,200 square meters, The Corner Market is set to house 17 food establishments in its massive halls.

Though not all 17 are operational yet, your friendly neighborhood Pickiest Eater made the ultimate sacrifice for his beloved readers, to try the food stalls that have opened their doors at the Corner Market.. Where good food is just around the corner!

Korea's growing influence in the world has been highly evident in the way their culture has made an global impact. From their music, to their films, and most especially (for me) in their food. Kaya Restaurant has been in the country for many years, and has perhaps become one of the top of mind places to visit when looking for a Korean meal. It comes to no surprise that they decided to open up a stall in The Corner Market Food Hall, albeit a down-scaled version of their menu, to help more customers experience authentic Korean cuisine..

Check out a few of the dishes available at Little Kaya!

THE AMAZING FLAVORS OF KOREA AT YOREE KOREAN BBQ

You know, I went to Korea early this year, and I had a wonderful time. It's truly a beautiful country that I would love to visit again in a heartbeat. But perhaps it was the places that we had gone to, but food-wise, none of the restaurants we went to really blew me away. In fact, you may have noticed, I haven't seen anything about it on my blog yet, and I'm actually thinking I might not bother writing it at all.

Not because I didn't enjoy the food there.. But because I think restaurant owners have done a great job of raising the standards of quality of the Korean food in their establishments here in the Philippines.

One such restaurant is one that you may not have heard of just yet, but believe me, once you try their excellent Korean food, you will inevitably be back over and over again. I'm speaking from experience because I've been back twice since.

Remember the name, folks.. Yoree Korean BBQ Dining.

SARIWON: A TASTE OF KOREA IN THE PHILIPPINES

I may not care for their hairstyles or their music (With the "Sistars" being the sole exception, that I watch on mute), but I must say that I quite enjoy Korean Cuisine - Especially when it comes to their Barbecue. Though I had heard of Sariwon numerous times through the foodie grapevine, I had yet to try the dishes that they had to offer.

One fine day, I tagged along with some of my blogger friends to visit Sariwon's newest branch in Greenhills, to see how it compared to the other Korean restaurants I've been to in the past.

It took only one visit for me to feel silly for not going there a lot earlier.

BULGOGI BROTHERS 7 NEW KOREAN CLASSICS!

korean barbecue

Bulgogi Brothers is one of my favorite Korean restaurants up to date. I love their barbecues paired with their yummy sticky and steamy rice.  In fact I end up eating lots of rice whenever I eat there (see our previous post here). And now, it's like they deliberately want me to come back and load up more on carbs with their 7 new authentic Korean dishes hahaha!

But they don't only have new meat dishes, they also have other new items as well!
